Healthcare model
The care model at Euphoria retirement estate provides for the following levels of care:
* Preventative healthcare
* Home care – temporary or full time
* Assisted living – help with everyday living activities
* Frail care
* Alzheimer and Dementia care
A healthcare center will be erected from where the services will be provided with additional facilities located in the center as well. We provide separate accommodation for assisted living and frail care, which includes Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
Both types of accommodation are described in more detail below.
Healthcare centre
The healthcare model at Euphoria retirement village is designed to address the needs of all residents. Preventative health care forms an integral part of our approach and therefore our health care center is designed with a gymnasium and an exercise pool as two of the main components. There is a spacious exercise area that has a dual purpose as it is also used by the coffee shop.
Examination rooms and offices for our doctors and full-time nurses are located in the health care center, while care workers are provided for in the houses where they provide services.
Additional facilities in the care center include a beauty salon, convenience store, mailboxes, a play area for children and a car wash.
Assisted living
The communal apartment suites are dual purpose. They are ideal for residents who need help with everyday living activities but aren’t in need of frail care yet. They are also perfect for residents who live independently and don’t want to maintain a large house.
The 8 units each has its own bathroom and kitchen, with an open plan living area and bedroom. Sliding doors open onto a private garden, allowing residents the opportunity to still keep pets. There is also covered parking for one car.
The residents make use of the communal facilities in every house that include a well-equipped kitchen, ‘n dining hall/game room, living room with fireplace and big TV as well as a veranda with a built-in braai. This creates a pleasant social atmosphere where each resident still retains his/her own privacy.

Frail care accommodation
Private single-suites are provided for those in need of frail care. There are 10 suites in a house with a communal dining room, living and TV room as well as a veranda. Each suite has its own bathroom and space for a fridge, microwave and sink.
Sliding doors allows residents easy access outside in times of fair weather or when they feel cooped up inside. In every house the full time personnel who are on duty 24 hours a day to take care of the residents are provided for.
